“I have overcome many challenges throughout my career, and in each of the stages of my life I have had learnings that I carry with me every day. Today, my greatest motivation is to see how our innovations can positively transform the lives of millions of people. We know what the needs of many patients are and it is very gratifying to provide solutions that become the answer for many of them,” she emphasizes.

For Scelza, it is essential to support a more equitable society and the inclusion of women in the business world, something that she promotes inside and outside the organization.

“Although there is still a way to go, I see significant progress in recent years, and even decades. The success stories of women leading various areas are a source of inspiration so that more and more women are encouraged to undertake, lead and direct,” she points out.

Brief professional profile

She is an industrial engineer graduated from the University of Buenos Aires in Argentina, with a postgraduate degree in Pharmaceutical Marketing from the University of Belgrano and another in Finance from the University of Buenos Aires. She began her career at Bristol-Myers Squibb, where she became the Commercial Excellence Manager for South America. In 2016, she joined Johnson & Johnson Innovative Medicine (then Janssen) as the commercial director for South America and, since 2020, assumed her role as general manager of Johnson & Johnson Innovative Medicine for Venezuela, Central America and the Caribbean, with headquarters in Panama.
