Malappuram: Muhammad Sinan (18) and Muhammad Arshid (20), vocational students of Chunkattara Talanji Mother Veronica Special School, have made the country proud by being included in the Indian sevens football team for the Special Olympics World Games to be held in Berlin, Germany from June 17 to 25. 12 people from different states have made it to the national team for the Olympics. Three of them are from Kerala. A student of Palemadu Karunechi Newleaf School has also made it to the football team. Both were selected for the national team from the camp held in Hyderabad. This genius has already participated in five Olympic training camps. Realizing his aptitude for sports, the guidance given by the school teachers and systematic training helped him get a place in the Olympic team. The Indian football team will fly to Germany with the camp to be held in Delhi on June 12. About 7,000 differently-abled athletes from 190 countries are participating in the Special Olympics. There are 26 sports. 261 athletes from India are participating in the world’s largest sports event for the differently abled. There are 24 people including a coach from Kerala.
