Inspired by fantasy movies… the world’s first flying bike (video)

The world’s first flying bike has been put on the market in Japan, at a price of nearly $600,000, where the designers of the “luxury air cruiser” XTURISMO say it brings science fiction movies to reality.

The bike is 3.6 meters long, weighs 300 kg, and is inspired by Star Wars films. It can reach speeds of up to 100 km/h, relying on two central fans that derive their energy from a 228-horsepower Kawasaki engine that runs on gasoline.

The British newspaper, The Telegraph, said on Friday: “The flying bike is available in red, blue and black colors, at a price of $ 560,000,” noting that it can stay in the air for 40 minutes, before it is forced to land on skateboards.

Manufacturer Aerwins described riding the hoverbike as an “emotional experience that will move you from within,” and presented the hoverbike as a tool for rescue workers, infrastructure inspectors, and a display vehicle for public entertainment.

The company added, “Imagine a world in which humans extend their free sovereignty over the skies. There is no doubt that life will become freer, expand your ideas related to transportation, live the world with an unprecedented experience, and pioneer the next generation of transportation, that is why we designed Exturismo, it is the beginning of a new journey.” .

There are reports of at least one buyer so far of the flying bike, with Japanese entrepreneur Yoshiyuki Ikawa ordering one.

The British newspaper indicates that the flying bike will be available for use inside closed racetracks at the present time, but the company hopes that the regulations allow more space for free flight in the future.
