Officials explained that violations of guidelines are being checked to ensure the safety and peace of residents. Khaleej Times reports that Dubai Municipality has conducted 19,837 field visits so far this year. Strict action has also been taken once morest violators during daily inspections.

The municipality said in a statement that people are now paying more attention to following the rules as part of such regular inspections. Officials have asked everyone to follow the rules related to residential areas and report violations on the toll-free number 800900.
The government has set a maximum number of people that can be safely accommodated in villas and residential buildings in Dubai. Staying more people than permitted, dividing houses and villas, illegally changing electricity connections etc. should be avoided. Officials also informed that there will be accidents like fire due to such violations.
A court in Abu Dhabi recently ordered a person who divided a villa into four and rented it to four families without the landlord’s permission to pay Dh3,00,000 in damages.
