Muscat: In Muscat governorate of Oman, many violations were found during the inspection of various jewellers. The Ministry of Commerce, Industry and Investment Promotion has revealed that 169 violations have been found so far in the sale of gold and silver jewellery.
Earlier, during the inspection conducted in Dahira governorate, the jewelery shop was ordered to be closed because of price manipulation. The inspection was conducted by the Consumer Protection Authority. The inspection followed complaints of manipulation of gold prices, including labor charges, gram prices and VAT.

Muscat: The Environment Authority has taken action once morest many private companies that have found violations in Oman. Last day, authorities inspected various institutions in Dhofar Governorate. The action was taken for violating the country’s environmental laws. Notices were issued to the institutions found in violation of the law.
Notices have been issued to a number of companies found to have violated the law. The statement released by the authorities says that many companies have been instructed to change their operations. The Oman Environment Authority stated that the field inspection was conducted to check whether the private companies in the country are complying with the environmental requirements.

More than 40 kg of intoxicants including hashish were seized in Oman
Muscat: More than 40 kg of intoxicants including hashish were seized in Oman. The Royal Oman Police seized drugs and firearms from a farm in Musandam Governorate.
They were arrested by the authorities of Narcotics Control Department under the leadership of Musandam Governorate Police. Royal Oman Police said in a statement that 43 kilograms of hashish, crystal drugs, heroin, drug pills and firearms were seized from the farm.
