Insomniac Games, the developer of the highly anticipated PlayStation 5 Marvel’s Wolverine, appears to have been hit by a cyberattack, which of course means there’s a significant risk of leaks. So far, we haven’t really seen anything from Marvel’s Wolverine (announced in 2021), and now it looks like the first bit of information we’re getting is the stolen god of ransomware group Rhysida.according to “Internet Daily”” reported that the organization is currently threatening to leak game details and personal information of employees, and has allegedly released some screenshots to show that the organization means business.
Rhysida has set a seven-day countdown to release the material, with the auction starting at $2 million in Bitcoin if anyone wants to buy it all. A PlayStation representative had the following to say:
“We are aware of reports that Insomniac Games was the victim of a cybersecurity attack. We are currently investigating the situation. We have no reason to believe that any other SIE or Sony division was affected.
