In a recent interview, she asserts that there is no bad blood between them.
Karolin A. Johansson was head of the court for seven years Swedish Princess Victoria (46). In photos of royal appearances, you can occasionally see her in the background or in the middle of the action: she beams at Princess Estelle, runs following Princess Victoria and Prince Daniel (50) – and surprisingly often carries a basket with her. She resigned in 2019 – the step came as a surprise to many. In a recent interview with “Svensk Damtidning”, Karolin once once more made it clear that there is no bad blood between her and the royal family.
“A lot of work and a lot of fun,” is how Karolin sums up the seven years. “I am so grateful that I have been entrusted to stand behind the Crown Princess and to help and support her,” she explains. From her boss, Princess Victoria, she still speaks today in the highest tones – she has never met a person who is so caring, warm-hearted and wise.

As Crown Princess, Victoria expects a big and important task: following her father, King Gustaf (77), she will preside over her home country as monarch. She can be found more and more often at her father’s side when he makes representative appearances abroad. The enormous life task for which she has been preparing since childhood does not seem to have had a negative impact on the princess as a person. Quite the opposite. Karolin says: “No matter how much we hear regarding her in the future, she will always be in my heart. She really made an impact.”
