Prince Albert has been completing a real marathon of appointments for days – but there is no trace of Charlène of Monaco. And Kate Middleton and Prince William are currently going their separate ways. What’s behind it?

New York – They seemed like they were in the second spring, but following numerous events at which Albert (65) and Charlène von Monaco (45) appeared together in turtle mode, everyday life seems to have returned to the rocky state. Gone are the yacht holidays with the twins Jacques and Gabriella (both 8), the kisses at the charity golf tournament and visits to the rugby game are over. Charlène and Albert are currently traveling solo – just like Prince William (41) and Kate Middleton (41).

Solo trip by Prince Albert and Prince William: Thousands of kilometers separate them from Charlène and Kate

Charlène and Albert from Monaco were actually supposed to fly together to South Africa last weekend to support the “Water Bike Challenge” run by Charlène’s foundation. But contrary to the announcement, the native South African showed up alone at the competition. Albert, on the other hand, preferred to celebrate with his ex-lover Nicole Coste (51) at the Oktoberfest. A day later he was whispering with Princess Akiko of Japan (41) in the stands at the Rugby World Cup in Nice, although sporting events are otherwise the shared passion of him and his wife Charlène.

Next stop for Prince Albert: New York. As the Monegasque palace announced, Albert II took part in the 78th General Assembly of the United Nations there. Prince William was also there. Both royals are vehemently committed to environmental protection, which is why Prince William launched the Earthshot Prize in 2020. The 15 finalists were announced at the Earthshot Prize summit in New York, in the presence of William and Prince Albert, who exchanged ideas intensively. But where were Kate Middleton and Charlène of Monaco at this important event?

The Earthshot Prize

The Earthshot Prize was launched in 2020 by Prince William and David Attenborough (97). It is awarded each year to five winners for their contributions to environmental protection. It was first awarded in 2021 and is scheduled to run annually until 2030. Each winner will receive a £1 million grant to continue their environmental work.

As a result, the prize has gained significant presence in the USA. Former New Zealand Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern (43) and former UN climate chief Christiana Figueres (67), who played a leading role in the Paris Agreement, are behind Prince William. Earthshot finalist Sebastian Groh (34) from SolShare says it loudly Telegraph to the point: “Suddenly Bill Gates walks past your product and says: ‘That’s interesting.'” He was surprised by the appeal of the royals, especially in the USA.

The awards will be awarded in Singapore in 2023

Without Charlène and Kate: Albert II and Prince William devote themselves to their heartfelt projects alone

School has just started once more for Monaco’s twins, Jacques and Gabriella are now in third grade, but they have to get used to something new, as Charlène from Monaco revealed. And Prince George (10), Princess Charlotte (8) and Prince Louis (5) are also back at school. The young royals cannot travel with them, so childcare might explain Charlène and Kate’s absence. Last year, however, both husbands accompanied their husbands on a trip to the USA despite having school-age children.

However, Princess Kate also attended appointments without her William. While visiting the charity “Streets of Growth” in London, Kate Middleton attracted everyone’s attention with the trendy hairstyle for 2023, the butterfly cut, and dressed in a camel-colored pants suit by Roland Mouret. However, fans are already fearing that they will have to forego a planned big appearance by the heir to the British throne. The Earthshot Prize ceremony will take place in Singapore on November 7th. “Kate is not expected to accompany him,” announced The Telegraphbut without giving any concrete reasons.
