Inside the Ashanty-Nindy Ayunda Affair: A Friend’s Betrayal and Lessons Learned

KOMPAS.com – Singer Ashanty opened her voice following she said she had covered up Nindy Ayunda’s ex-husband’s alleged affair.

Ashanty, previously known as Nindy Ayunda, knew regarding the affair between Askara Parasady, who at that time was still her husband, and Ashanty’s nephew.

Ashanty herself has apologized if her attitude at that time was felt to be detrimental to Nindy Ayunda.

“But if for him I did the wrong thing, then I’m sorry,” said Ashanty as quoted from the Ngobrol Asix YouTube channel, Monday (11/12/2023).

Ashanty explained that she had her own reasons why she didn’t tell Nindy Ayunda when she found out that Nindy’s ex-husband was suspected of having an affair with her nephew.

Ashanty admitted that she had trauma in the past because she once told her friend that her boyfriend was cheating on her, but ended up being shunned by that friend.

“But why don’t I feel like I made a mistake because I had a trauma when I was in college,” said Ashanty.

Ashanty still remembers that she had a friend when she was in college, where she found out that her friend’s boyfriend was cheating on her.

Because she didn’t feel good, Ashanty finally told her friend regarding her boyfriend cheating on her.

Initially, said Ashanty, his friend was grateful to him even though he felt sad following learning this fact.

“My friend wasn’t married at that time, and then I found out that her boyfriend was messing with other people, so I told him, cried all kinds of things, asked for all kinds of strength,” said Ashanty.

However, Ashanty continued, some time later, it was difficult for him to meet his friend once more.

Until finally Ashanty decided to find out regarding her college friend.

“Then a few days later my friend disappeared. “Then on the second, third, fourth day it disappeared, it didn’t take long for me to look for it, I knew the family too,” Ashanty recalled.

After meeting her friend’s family, Ashanty was surprised because she received an unpleasant reprimand.

Ashanty said that he was considered to have damaged his friend’s relationship.

Even though she felt her intentions were good, Ashanty realized that not everything she knew had to be revealed, she had to look at the situation and conditions too.

However, Ashanty is grateful that her college friend’s marriage is still lasting today.

“When we met (the family said) ‘Shan, don’t disturb them anymore, they are getting married, please don’t give them information that isn’t good’. And until now I hear that their marriage is lasting. “I told you the aim was good, you know,” said Ashanty.

Previously, singer Nindy Ayunda bluntly said that the reason she divorced Askara was because her ex-husband was having an affair with Ashanty’s nephew.

Nindy Ayunda also said that Ashanty already knew regarding this and did not tell her, in fact, according to Nindy, her answer was disappointing as a friend when asked regarding the affair.
