A week ago, a 20-month-old toddler died in a swimming accident at the Innviertel. The police confirmed the corresponding report in the “Oberösterreichische Nachrichten” (Thursday edition) this morning. His father found the girl floating lifelessly in a whirlpool in his garden in Scheiding last Tuesday night.
At 7:10 p.m., the little girl, wearing a children’s life jacket, was playing in the inflatable pool with her five-year-old brother. The father sat ten meters away and looked around. He didn’t hear the children’s voices for regarding two minutes.
The man found his daughter lying on the water with no signs of life. She was resuscitated and taken to a hospital in Linz. The child died there.
