Aeonpump’s advanced technologies and efficient designs are suitable for a wide range of applications, from construction to wastewater management and storm relief.
Founded on November 2, 2020, Aeonpump has rapidly taken a leading role in pump technology, providing effective solutions for pumping, sewer bypasses, eddy control, water drainage and other requirements.
The company’s success is based on an experienced team of engineers who develop mushroom systems for a variety of specific applications and industries.
Aeonpump’s unique designs include the world’s only vacuum pump that continues to operate even when water enters it. Competitors’ pumps would stop under these conditions. This feature, combined with the modular frames made of black metal, provides exceptional durability and the company prides itself on high-quality components, including motors from Germany and clutches from Italy.
Aeonpump’s largest customers come from England, Germany, Australia, New Zealand and the USA, where their pumps are used in pump fleets maintained by large rental companies.
In order to increase its market presence, Aeonpump actively participates in international exhibitions, which are an essential form of industry networking. This year, the company has participated in five major exhibitions and plans to participate in the next ones as well.
The company is also proud to have created the world’s first battery pump that can be charged in just two hours and can work for 8 to 10 hours in any location. These pumps have even been used to extinguish a lava flow in Iceland, proving their unique capabilities.
Aeonpump also offers personalization options by providing pump color customization and logo printing on the door, which allows customers to integrate the shoes into their brand image and reinforce the company’s identity.
What is Aeonpump’s export product?
“We manufacture the best mobile pumping equipment in the world. A product is produced in Latvia, which is the best, the most qualitative, the most innovative in the world, which is intended for sale all over the world,” says CEO, founder of the company Igors Gorkins.
Although this company was officially founded in 2020, the story about and around pumps began already 15 years ago, when Igor together with his partner Ernesta founded the company and bought the first pump.
“The goal was to create a specialized pump rental company. In 12 years, the company grew in four countries – approximately 150 employees and approximately 600 pumps in the rental fleet.
Since we were young, we tried different products: we bought from America, we bought from the Netherlands, from Italy and we started experimenting. The team was also young, we tried to find new rental products, a new direction, therefore we gathered a lot of experience, we also technically started to deeply study the equipment, install it, manage special projects all over Europe. And in the end, we collected that package of information, and we realized that we can do better,” explains Gorkin.
“The main thing is the experience as a user, we understood the pros and cons. The second is the desire to create something in Latvia and something even better, because there are some players in the pump industry that have been producing for 50 years, but there is no such great development, innovation,” he adds.
Currently, the company offers around 85 pumps of different configurations – with diesel engines, electric motors or lithium batteries.
Two pumps are produced per day. “To make it easier for people to understand, compared to the auto industry, it’s like two Volkswagen Passats leaving the factory a day,” explains the company’s founder.
What does Aeonpump mean?
“Since we are an innovative company, we produce a quality product. “Aeon” means “longevity” and “pump” is a pump. Eternal pumps,” explains Igor Gorkin.
Customer attraction and export market
In response to the question of how “Aeonpump” attracts its customers, the company’s co-founder Ernests Lāčaunieks says:
“We try to approach it creatively. Do something different than others. For example, if someone performs simulations on the computer, then we simply drop the pump from the faucet, show the customer that everything is fine, nothing has happened and allow him to buy the same unique product and test it for himself anywhere in the world.”
He also admits that it is not easy to attract new export markets, but the company is aiming for it.
“Our working day starts early, at six in the morning, when Australia starts communicating with us, and it continues at six in the evening, when America connects. In between we still have Europe. We go to the goal that we see, and then everything comes together. That’s the main thing.”
To do all this, the team is important: “These are people who see the common sight and the common vision. And it is also the pride of Latvia that we produce a world-class product in our small country of two million.”
“Our added value is that we listen to our customers, unlike other companies who passively approach it and produce what they want to produce. We are once again talking to the people, making and creating the future as they see it,” says Lāčaunieks.
The uniqueness of Aeonpump pumps
“In order for the pump to be able to pump the liquid, lift it, for example, from a height of 2-3 meters, a vacuum pump is needed. Vacuum pumps often have big problems in this industry, so we have created a completely new vacuum pump that is very unique in the industry and very difficult to design. Our vacuum pump has no problem with such challenges to quickly and easily raise water to the pump,” says Igor Gorkin.
What makes the Aeonpump vacuum pump unique is that a part whose shape cannot be measured requires very precise equipment to produce this part.
“That’s why we’re the only ones in the world using it, and we feel safe showing it because we’re the only ones who know how to make it,” he adds.
Future plans
“In the future, we definitely plan to be present on every continent and we see that vision quite clearly. Considering a product for which we can really technically justify its superiority over others, we consider it a relatively realistic and achievable plan,” says Ernests Lāčaunieks.
Core values of the company
“The main values are the team. We invest in the team, attract new people from universities and give them the opportunity to express themselves, show their vision. Putting it together with the wishes of the customers, we create a product.
We never say no to any customer, we always listen to customers and find a solution for them. We will always be a company that will come up with a solution so that we can produce and customers are happy with our products,” says Igor Gorkin.

Aeonpump has a snazzy CEO, Igors Gorkins, who claims they make “the best mobile pumping equipment in the world.” I don’t know about you, but I can’t wait to see a pumping competition—who does even better at party tricks? “I can pump water out of a lava flow!” “Oh yeah? I can make a margarita in 30 seconds flat!”
Their pumps come in different flavors too, believe it or not. We’ve got diesel engines, electric motors, lithium batteries—it’s like a buffet of pumping technology! They even have a battery pump that can extinguish lava! Talk about putting out fires in a relationship—or just, you know, putting an actual fire out in Iceland. But let me tell you, the last time I went to Iceland, I didn’t pack my lava-dousing pump. Rookie mistake!
And here’s the kicker—they’ve got this vacuum pump that keeps working even when water enters it. Water! You know, the thing that stops other pumps dead in their tracks. It’s like the Superman of pumps—saving the day while the others are screaming for help. “Help! I’m drowning!” They make these gadgets from high-quality European components—German motors and Italian clutches! I mean, even the pumps are more cultured than I am!
But what really gets me is how they’ve taken the humble pump and turned it into a fashion statement! You can customize your pump with colors and logos. Go ahead, make it pop! Nothing says “I’m successful in life” quite like pulling up to a job site with a bright blue pump showcasing your brand logo. “What do you drive?” “Oh, just my flashy pump, as one would!”
And let’s not forget their approach to customer service! They simply drop their pumps from a faucet to demonstrate their sturdiness. Talk about a “don’t try this at home” moment! But some customers probably love it—"You think that’s impressive? Watch as I drop it from my moving truck!”
On the topic of expansion, apparently they communicate with Australia at six in the morning and America at six in the evening. What happened to the ‘laid back’ approach? Between emails, they must be remapping their Google Calendars on caffeine and ambition alone.
Their core values? Teamwork and customer feedback! I mean, who knew we’d finally find a pump company that actually listens to customers? “We’ll always say yes,” they say, “We’re an innovative company!” Well, I guess when you’re pumping up solutions, it’s a win-win!

For instance, instead of simulations, we demonstrate our products in real scenarios, allowing customers to witness their robustness firsthand.”
Gorkins draws attention to the transformational journey they undertook, stating, “The critical factor was our experience as users; we grasped both the advantages and drawbacks of existing products. Our goal was to innovate something exceptional in Latvia, challenging long-standing manufacturers who, despite lengthy histories, lacked significant innovation.”
As they look towards future expansion plans, the team at Aeonpump envisions conquering every continent with their superior products, which they believe can be technically justified over competitors’. “Our core values rely on fostering a collaborative team spirit, investing in talent from universities, and ensuring that we always listen to our customers, continuously refining our product to exceed their expectations,” concludes Gorkins.
