The Innovative Company Award is back for its third edition. The award, which analyzes the adoption of new practices and technologies, aims to map the maturity of innovation in companies.
By participating in the award, the company becomes aware of how its various departments are doing, in its own view, with regard to innovation. This way, it is possible to follow a more assertive development plan.
“Any company that has innovation in its DNA is a better and more relevant company for society. Being stronger, it generates more jobs, income, produces more taxes and encourages the development of the entire surrounding ecosystem”, points out Itamir Viola, one of the creators of the Award and head of Connect Week Brasil, organizer of the award.
Registration is free and can be done until March 8th through the link: www.premioempresainovadora.com.br. The awards ceremony will take place on 06/21, during Viasoft Connect 2024, the main event of Connect Week Brasil, in Curitiba/PR.
The Award is an achievement of Connect Week Brasil 2024 and Viasoft Connect 2024, jointly organized by Haze Shift, Universidade Positivo, Associação Comercial do Paraná (ACP) and Sebrae. The sponsorship is from Viasoft.
2023 edition numbers
In the previous edition, the Award was attended by 351 companies, highlighting their innovative practices. Subsequently, 50 were selected as finalists, going through an evaluation process that totaled 200 hours of detailed interviews, conducted by a team of 27 evaluators. “The idea of this edition is to at least triple the number of companies registered last year”, says Viola.
The growth of the Award in recent years is the result of solid partnerships and a comprehensive publicity itinerary, which included roadshows in 15 cities in Paraná, Santa Catarina and São Paulo, presenting the award to a diverse audience.
“Paraná has increasingly stood out as one of the most innovative states in Brazil. Not just the capital, which received the award for the smartest city in the world in 2023, but all regions breathe innovation and contribute to this well-deserved prominence that the state has been achieving”, observes Roberto Elias Da Silva, VP of innovation at Viasoft.
News for 2024
For the 2024 edition, the Innovation Diagnosis underwent updates, incorporating elements such as the use of artificial intelligence, diversity and sustainability. These changes aim for a more comprehensive analysis aligned with contemporary trends, consolidating the Award as an increasingly accurate indicator of the innovation scenario.
“Thanks to the improvements we implemented, mainly in the Award’s methodology and self-diagnosis, we reached other states in Brazil, making the award increasingly important and recognized on the national scene”, adds Roberto.
Assessment process
This year, there will be six main categories: Industry, Cooperatives, Retail, Technology and Communication, Health and Services. The first stage of the award is the Innovation Diagnosis, providing companies with a clear understanding of their stage of maturity.
The study is prepared by experts and based on academic studies, indicating paths for innovation in organizations. Assessment takes place in 11 dimensions: Learning; Culture; Strategy; Organizational structure; Infrastructure; Leadership; Measurement; Networking; People; Law Suit; and Results.
Finally, the selected companies undergo interviews with experts, culminating in the awards ceremony. During Connect Week Brasil, the Inspiring Company seal will also be awarded, which considers a stage of popular voting through digital media and celebrates the most inspiring company in each segment.
In all cases, self-diagnosis and feedback are delivered to all companies as soon as the phases are completed, explains Luiz Fernando Frederico, Director of HazeShift Consultoria em Inovação and Award Coordinator. “In this sense, we value the participation of everyone involved. Regardless of the stage reached, everyone receives a certificate of participation and a personalized analysis to be able to make the best possible use of their processes”, he adds.
Plus Option
The award is free, but also offers the option of +INNOVATORY. This selection of products consists of a collection of content selected and developed by Haze Shift Consultoria em Inovação and Viasoft Softwares Empresariais, such as mentoring, courses and detailed feedback regarding the Award diagnosis. These deliveries are made separately, independent of the award process, on demand from each participating company.
