The mobile team will provide residents with daily banking services, teach them how to use remote service delivery channels, and take care of residents’ digital and financial literacy.

SEB Bank has issued an appeal to the Association of Lithuanian Municipalities that it is ready to periodically go with a mobile team to municipalities where there is no bank branch.

“We hear that some of the population, especially the elderly, still need to receive physical banking services, but not everyone can go to the nearest bank branch when necessary. The needs of these residents in regions of the country where our bank branch is not available will be met by our mobile team. We talk to each municipality separately and evaluate where it would be most convenient for our customers to receive services. According to the already concluded agreements, the mobile team will periodically operate in the premises of the Plungė municipality, in the Šilutė Fridrich Bajoraitis public library, in the Joniškis Tourism and Business Information Center, in the Anykščių art incubator – art studio, in the Elektrėnai culture center”, says Eglė, a member of the board of SEB bank and head of the Retail Banking Service. Dovbyšienė.

The services will be provided in premises offered by the municipalities, the rent of which will be paid by SEB bank to the municipality. SEB bank will also equip and furnish part of the premises with its own funds, so that it will be convenient to serve customers in them – the infrastructure created by the bank will be available to the administration or residents of the mentioned municipalities when the bank’s mobile team will not be available. Bank services will be provided on a periodic basis agreed with the municipalities. The bank will visit municipalities depending on where the bank’s customers have the greatest need.

“Every year, we promote financial education of the population. Since this autumn, we have also joined the Communications Regulatory Authority’s Digital Decade: No One Left Behind project, during which our staff travel to various campuses across the country to interact directly with older people and share their knowledge of digital literacy, financial issues and fraud prevention. , – mentions E.Dovbyšienė.

According to her, at present, without coming to the branch, you can use essentially all bank services, including ordering and receiving a payment card by mail, and concluding a consumer or home loan agreement. Customers can sign all necessary documents digitally, and remote consultations provided by SEB banka help to reach the customer at his location. Therefore, SEB bank employees, while providing services in municipalities, will continue to pay a lot of attention to customer education – they will teach, help and encourage the use of digital bank services.

Municipalities where SEB Bank’s daily banking services will be periodically provided will announce to residents information about the location and time of service provision by the bank’s mobile team. SEB Bank will also inform customers about this on its website.

Currently, SEB bankas has 18 bank branches throughout Lithuania. So far, residents have been served by a mobile bank branch in an electric bus in nine municipalities.
