According to the weather forecast of cold wave, snowfall and strong winds from the meteorological department, the transportation department fully launched the region’s transportation emergency linkage mechanism to strengthen the work of clearing snow and ensuring smooth roads. Since this round of snowfall, the region has deployed a total of 6,728 snow and ice clearing personnel, 3,328 shifts of various vehicles, spread 4,907 tons of snow melting agent, 265 cubic meters of anti-skid materials, and accumulated snow clearing mileage of 41,759 kilometers; a total of 6,464 vehicles of emergency reserve capacity have been implemented , 6439 drivers.
As of the followingnoon of the 14th, some sections of 11 highways in the region were temporarily closed, 92 toll booths were temporarily closed, and a total of 8 national and provincial trunk roads were temporarily closed. Hohhot City, Chifeng City, Xilingol League and Ordos City have a total of 204 service lines suspended, accounting for 19.14%; 325 service vehicles have been suspended, accounting for 13.38%. City buses are operating normally.
