The inmate of the Preventive Detention Center (CDP) of said commune was transferred to the emergency room to be treated for a stab wound he received in prison, where he is serving preventive detention for the crime of robbery with intimidation.
The Metropolitan General Director of the Gendarmerie, Alvaro Rivera, said the intern was being discharged, when “in an attitude of surprise he pounces” once morest the person in charge of his custody, “managing to snatch his service weapons”.

For his part, the gendarme was transferred to the Carabineros Hospitalwhere it is being treated by minor injuries.
Although the PDI reported that the subject died at night, it was finally a communication error with the facility, and rectified that it remains life-threatening.
The Homicide Brigade is carrying out the expert reports on the case, which include reviewing the security cameras at the care center and registering witnesses, when some assert that the inmate would not have been handcuffed while he was discharged.
