The international break might be less calm than expected at Standard. Moussa Djenepo actually returned injured from the rally with Mali.
While he lacked rhythm with Southampton, Moussa Djenepo was finally able to get back into the rhythm of matches at Standard. The 25-year-old winger has played four games as a starter since his return to Liège, four games where the team has remained undefeated.
If Djenepo has not yet regained his best level, his rise to power should provide the Standard more creativity on the left side. But his upgrade runs into a first obstacle: the player was in fact injured in training with Mali.
According to Sacha Tavolieri, Djenepo is out of his national team’s two matches and has already returned to Liège for treatment. However, La Derniere Heure specifies that the nature of the injury does not worry the club, the player having already played with this pain once morest the Club de Bruges.
