Mexican band is in the country for a series of shows on the reunion tour of the group formed in the soap opera ‘Rebelde’.
It seems that gratitude sent its regards to the band RBD for not granting or participating in SBT programs during their stay in Brazil for the shows on their reunion tour. Being RBD, it gained its popularity thanks to the great success of the soap opera “Rebelde” on the network in the 2000s.
By choice of the production that brought the shows to Brazil and the band’s record company, Anahí, Christian Chávez, Christopher Uckermann, Dulce María and Maite Perroni will only participate in Globo programs. Which is somewhat curious since Globo said little regarding the phenomenon at the time because it was a product of its competitor.
Next Sunday (12), “Fantástico” will show an exclusive interview with the five members of the band carried out by reporter Kiko Menezes in Rio de Janeiro and also has a recording scheduled with RBD at the Globo studios in São Paulo.
SBT did everything for the band to participate, even briefly, in the Telethon, a charity marathon taking place this weekend, but there was no authorization. There were also numerous attempts for Domingo Legal, by Celso Portiolli, a program that RBD participated in in the 2000s when it was led by Gugu Liberato (1959-2019), but equally unsuccessful.
Silvio Santos’ broadcaster repeated the soap opera twice, in 2014 and this year, but both re-airings were failures in terms of audience numbers and ended before all the chapters were shown.
