The Spanish technology company Ingeteam has signed its first contract for the supply of power electronics technology for a photovoltaic plant with Avangrid, a subsidiary of Iberdrola in the US. Specifically, it will be in charge of the supply of 50 liquid-cooled central photovoltaic inverters and 27 transformer substations, which will be delivered as a ready-to-install turnkey solution for the project called Powell Creek, located in Putnam County, Ohio. The agreement also includes the commissioning work for the plant to be carried out by the Ingeteam subsidiary in Milwaukee, which has been manufacturing in the country since 2011.

Powell Creek will occupy an area of ​​546 hectares and will have a capacity of 202.5 MW, and is currently under construction. Avangrid recently announced the construction of True North, a 240 MW solar park under development in Falls County, Texas, for which it has signed a PPA with Meta.

Ingeteam has already supplied 28 GW of photovoltaic solar power with its solar inverters, and more than 6,000 electrical substations are automated with its equipment. In addition, they have 1.6 GWh accumulated in electrical storage facilities and their division for the provision of operation and maintenance services in renewable energy plants has more than 18 GW of maintained power.
