ING customers have been unable to transfer money to other accounts since Friday morning due to a malfunction. Payment in stores or online via iDEAL is possible.
The outage occurred around 8:45 a.m. “Customers can access their account via the ING app or online banking, but cannot transfer money to other accounts,” an ING spokesperson told NU.nl.
“People can still pay for groceries via pin machines in shops,” says the ING spokesperson. “Online payments via iDEAL are also possible.”
For many people, the outage comes at an unfortunate time. Many people receive their salary on or around the 24th of the month.
ING does not yet know how long the outage will last. “Obviously we are working hard on a solution and apologize to our customers for the inconvenience.”
