Infrastructure plans announced in Nuevo Leon

MONTERREY (EFE).— President-elect Claudia Sheinbaum promised yesterday in Nuevo León to continue supporting the state during her administration, noting that there will be support for infrastructure projects led by the state government, in addition to offering to build the Mexico-Nuevo Laredo train, which will pass through the capital, Monterrey.

On tour with President Andrés Manuel López Obrador, Claudia pointed out that in her 2024-2030 government there will be support “without distinction of parties” for Nuevo León, a state governed by Samuel García, of Movimiento Ciudadano.

“We will continue to support Nuevo León. The governor (García) said it well here, we will support Samuel here so that he can develop the roads and other works that are essential for the development of Nuevo León. This is not a matter of parties, it is a matter of the well-being of the people of Nuevo León. And we will continue to collaborate in this way,” said Claudia during her speech.

The future president recalled that López Obrador recovered the passenger trains after they were privatized and abandoned during the so-called neoliberal period in Mexico.
