Informal merchants in Alta Vista were evicted

In the early hours of this Thursday, a deployment of Citizen Security and Eventual Economy authorities was carried out.

Informal merchants, barbers, washers and car salesmen from Tocoma, Ventuari and Las Américas avenues were evicted, this is due to the reorganization plan of the Caroní municipality mayor’s office.

In the early hours of this Thursday, a deployment of Citizen Security and Eventual Economy authorities was carried out.

Degnis Mazo, director of Eventual Economy of Caroní, reported that the plan and reorganization to recover areas of the municipality are being complied with, “we want to order, we do not want to end the informal economy.”

He pointed out that in the Office of the Superintendence of Taxes the peddlers can make the proposal of the area where they can be relocated, however Mazo emphasized that the first options are the municipal markets.
