The new building of the “BlueSpace” incubator, the result of a public-private partnership, was inaugurated on Friday in Casablanca by Bank of Africa and the Higher Institute of Commerce and Business Administration (ISCAE) Group, during a ceremony marked by the presence of the Minister of Industry and Trade, Ryad Mezzour.
Located within the ISCAE Casablanca campus, “BlueSpace” aims to support students and project leaders in the realization of their entrepreneurial ambitions. It comprises two components, namely an educational banking space dedicated to students and an incubator intended for project leaders participating in the program.
On this occasion, Mr. Mezzour stressed, in a statement to the press, that this incubator will make it possible to launch around fifty projects and constitutes a great opportunity for ISCAE students and for any project leader wishing to be accompanied by this banking expertise and this high quality management school.
The “BlueSpace” incubator has an exceptional feature: it is the first time that a national banking group, in collaboration with one of the largest business schools in the country and on the African continent, has come together to support people with innovative projects, noted the Minister.
For her part, the general manager of the ISCAE Group, Nada Biaz, indicated that this inauguration is “the concretization of an intelligent partnership between two institutions whose position, each in its field, confirms the leadership in terms of science and managerial practices. to contribute to supporting the economic and social development of Morocco and Africa”.
This approach of decompartmentalization between the world of education and that of business has been the basis of the ISCAE model since its creation under the supervision of the Ministry in charge of Industry and Trade, added Ms. Biaz.
For his part, the director of the economic intelligence center of Bank of Africa-BMCE Group, Mamoun Tahri-Joutei, noted in a statement to MAP that the idea for this project came from the will of the banking group to offer young project leaders the support they need to develop their start-ups.
The interest, ultimately, of this incubator is to allow young Moroccans to contribute to the development of their country by creating value and employment, he said.
The “BlueSpace” incubator of Bank of Africa and Groupe ISCAE represents a meeting place between the academic and professional world through a reference program aimed at developing the entrepreneurial spirit and positioning itself as a key player in the development and promotion of entrepreneurship among young people.
