At the invitation of the Prime Minister of the Republic of Singapore Lee Hsien Loong, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh paid an official visit to the Republic of Singapore from February 8-10, 2023.
Vietnam and Singapore officially established diplomatic relations in 1973 and elevated the relationship to a strategic partnership in 2013.
In 2023, the two countries will celebrate the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations and the 10th anniversary of the establishment of a strategic partnership.
In recent years, the relationship between the two countries has developed dynamically and strongly in various fields. Exchanging delegations, high-level contacts and levels are maintained regularly and effectively. Singapore is Vietnam’s leading economic partner in the ASEAN region.
