Visiting the headquarters of La Dépêche in Toulouse this Friday, Patrick Pouyanné unveiled a new measure to reduce the fuel bill for motorists. The CEO of TotalEnergies announces a “special summer” rebate which will see the light of day from July.
The fuel price battle never ends. This Friday, while meeting a panel of La Dépêche readers in Toulouse, the CEO of TotalEnergies announced the launch of a new rebate to help the French cushion the shock of energy prices. It is to replace the ten-cent discount currently in force at all stations in the TotalEnergies network. Scheduled to last until May 15, “this device is called to stop as planned” confirms the oil group.
Valid for the months of July and August on motorways
But Patrick Pouyanné announced to La Dépêche that a new measure would be put in place for the summer season. “In particular, we will help holidaymakers who will be traveling this summer for holidays with a ten cent discount on all TotalEnergies stations located on French motorways” detailed the CEO of the energy group. The exact dates for the implementation of this new measure have not yet been communicated. The rebate must relate to the months of July and August.
After having launched an action of solidarity towards the populations of rural areas with its ten cent discount extended from 1is April to the entire metropolitan territory for stations, TotalEnergies is now making a move for summer visitors who will have to drive on the motorway network to get to their vacation spot. This boost will be added to the 18 cents discount that the State has granted for four months on a liter of fuel until the end of July 2022.
