In recent months, some influencers present on TikTok, Instagram or Facebook have shared an offer that may seem tempting: get a computer for only 39 or 99 euros thanks to your personal training account (CPF).
But the people who praise these “good plans” never talk regarding the training courses themselves, nor even the centers or the certifications that this can bring, explains The Parisian, Saturday. Thus, the training would be almost only a pretext to carry out the purchase of a computer.
A practice considered illegal
After finding potential customers, these influencers ask them for the amount available on the CPF. Depending on the sum, they adapt the offer. For example, they offer to take distance training on word processing with Word, Excel spreadsheets or even digital marketing thanks to the balance of the CPF. And as a bonus, those contacted will be entitled to a computer as a gift.
Problem: this type of practice is considered illegal. “When we offer training at 1,000 euros and we associate a computer at 39 euros, what we are committing is an offence. Even the term aggressive canvassing no longer applies, ”explained to our colleagues Michel Yahiel, director of social policies at Caisse des dépôts, the organization in charge of the My Account Training platform.
On the side of the Ministry of Labor, the idea is to strengthen actions to fight once morest fraud in this area. At the same time, a bill prohibiting abusive canvassing has just been tabled by LREM deputies. Expected since June 2021, this proposal may not be able to be studied until the summer of 2022.
