Sunwing was not clear enough regarding the rules that applied to the famous festive flight between Montreal and Cancun, argues the intermediary through which James William Awad chartered the plane.

“We did not have any documents saying that the rules of international civil aviation applied to this flight. […] So we were not able to pass it on to our client ”, explains to Journal, on condition of anonymity, the business aviation broker who assisted Mr. Awad in booking a Sunwing Boeing 737.

For its part, the Quebec company Chrono Aviation, which made the link between the broker and Sunwing, says it is ready to bring home the travelers of the mad flight who have still not returned.

“They are still not going to leave Canadian nationals taken in Mexico for three months,” says Dany Gagnon, vice-president of Chrono.
