The death of the influencer Cristina ‘Vita’ Arandafootballer’s wife Ivan Torres, of the Olimpia club, which occurred following a shooting during a concert in the city of San Bernardino, shocked Paraguayan society on Monday.
Aranda was one of the two fatalities in the shooting that occurred in the middle of the musical show Ja’umina Fest, and that left at least four more people injured.
The president of the South American Football Confederation (Conmebol), Alexander Dominguez, expressed this Monday on his Twitter account his condolences to Torres and his family “for such a sad loss“.
“May God give you spiritual strength to go through this moment. RIP, Cristina Aranda,” he said in his message.
The Paraguayan soccer team also joined the expressions of sadness and dedicated a minute of silence for the death of the model and well-known personality on the country’s social networks.
La Albirroja indicated on Twitter that training began this Monday “respecting the duel of red-and-white soccer player Iván Torres”.

For its part, the Olimpia club, in which Torres plays, suspended the training this Monday and declared the mourning “of the entire great Olympic nation” for the next three days.
The Asunción team expressed its “deep regret” for the death of Aranda.
In addition, he offered his “support and companionship” to Xoana Daniela Barrientos, wife of another member of that team, Víctor Salazar, who was injured in the shooting.
The first investigations indicate that Aranda and Barrientos, who attended the show in the company of their husbands, were waiting in line to enter the bathrooms located in the VIP area of the José Asunción Flores amphitheater when the shooting broke out.
