Influenced by the divine wand.. Spain coach warns Lamine Gamal of a mistake that could “destroy” him

Luis de la Fuente led the Spanish national team to the European Nations Cup title in the summer of 2024, and Lamine Jamal was the best emerging player in the tournament, which is one of the factors that paved his country’s path to the fourth continental title in history.

Lamine Gamal continues to shine at the local level with Barcelona, but this 17-year-old player still needs, according to his coach in Spain, “a lot of work and he must be very careful and patient so as not to destroy himself.”

Luis de la Fuente (63 years old) said in statements to the Spanish newspaper “Mundo Deportivo”: “Lamine Jamal should not make the mistake of walking faster than he is, so that he will not be negatively affected by this in the future.”

He added: “He is a different player in the Spanish national team, but we must not forget that he is young. He is a 17-year-old child. He is still in the training stage and will face difficult moments and his abilities will be questioned.”

Regarding his artistic capabilities, the Spanish coach commented, saying: “He has a tremendous artistic touch, as if he was influenced by that divine staff. He is much more mature than those of his age, and he has the ability to bear responsibility.”

However, this did not prevent Luis de la Fuente from warning his rising talent, saying: “But I also saw players who fell at the beginning of the road. He must not make the mistake of going faster than his abilities, as this may destroy him.”

He concluded: “First he must play well, and the other details he must learn later and over time.”

Lamine Jamal is currently with the Spanish camp under the leadership of Luis de la Fuente, in preparation for playing two matches in the European Nations League for the 2024-2025 season, against Denmark this Saturday evening, and then Serbia next Tuesday.
