Inflation compensation: it is the turn of CAF beneficiaries to benefit from it this Thursday

A few euros more to relieve those who earn less than 2000 euros net per month. This Thursday, January 20, the Family Allowance Fund will pay the inflation allowance of 100 euros promised by the government to limit the influence of rising energy and raw material prices on purchasing power.

To receive this bonus, no action is necessary. CAF will automatically make this transfer that 4 million French people should receive, in addition to the 20 million private sector employees, self-employed workers and scholarship students who have already obtained it.

In total, 38 million French people are affected by this boost from the government, while prices continue to rise, the consequences of a bottleneck in demand for raw materials. The restart of national economies following the stalling forced by Covid-19 in 2020 and 2021 has compressed the needs of companies with their suppliers.

The last installments? End of February

In accordance with Jean Castex’s announcements, made in October 2021, the inflation allowance is staggered. Next payments are planned from January 25 for jobseekers registered with Pôle Emploi. Civil servants will be eligible on January 25 and retirees at the end of February.

Faced with rising energy prices, Bruno Le Maire also assured this Wednesday on BFMTV / RMC not to close “no door” to new measures, while emphasizing the cost of those already implemented.

“I will continue to monitor fuel prices, see if additional measures are necessary. We are constantly adjusting the devices, ”said the Minister of the Economy.

“The inflation allowance, the energy check, what we have done on EDF, what we are doing to cap gas prices: the bill for all of these measures is 15 billion euros already committed by the state to protect the French,” said the minister. The door isn’t closed, but it isn’t open either.
