In a statement released this Tuesday, Positivo and Inifnix launched the new Infinix Note 30 5G in Brazil.
The smartphone follows the expected pattern for the brand’s cell phones: it has an attractive design, ok construction and also stands out for the presence of good specifications.
Some relevant examples include the 108 MP main camera and also the MediaTek Dimensity 6080 mid-range chipset with up to 16 GB of RAM.
But will this smartphone be able to conquer the heart of the average Brazilian or does it have a tough mission ahead of it to face options from Samsung and Motorola?
Well, that’s what we’re going to try to find out in this quick hands-on launch.

design and accessories
The Infinix Note 30 5G was launched with flat sides and has a large camera module at the rear.
A relevant detail is that this module has four circles and it is slightly skipped. The first circle only houses the main camera, while the second has two lenses.
According to Infinix, the construction of the Note 30 5G is made of industrial plastic, and it is manufactured here in Brazil. In addition, the device has a matte finish that prevents you from having thousands of finger marks.
Overall, the Infinix Note 30 5G is a wide smartphone and people with smaller hands might have some difficulty holding it. Still, everything is a matter of custom.
As for the front, we have a screen with few side edges, a slightly thicker bottom edge and a small hole to accommodate the front camera.
That is, something that has already become standard in this category of smartphones. Finally, and not least, the Infinix Note 30 5G arrives on the Brazilian market with a charger in the box.
screen and hardware
The Infinix Note 30 5G has a 6.78-inch IPS LCD panel with FHD+ resolution and 120 Hz refresh rate. In terms of performance, this cell phone has a MediaTek Dimensity 6080 chipset built in 6 nanometers.
Here in Brazil it will be sold with 8 GB of RAM and 256 GB of internal storage. The memory is UFS 2.2. Infinix also guarantees that you can reach the 16GB of RAM when using the virtual option.
In practice, this set promises to deliver good performance in daily tasks and also in medium games, and the chipset still guarantees that the user will have a native 5G connection.
The Inifnix Note 30 5G brings stereo sound with JBL certified speakers. This ensures a good media consumption experience, as the sound is loud and full-bodied with interesting bass.
In terms of connectivity, the Infinix Note 30 5G comes out of the box with a dual-SIM tray and MicroSD card support, dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, NFC for proximity payments, USB-C and P2 port for headphones with wire.
The fingerprint reader is located on the side.
Another important highlight of the Note 30 5G is the presence of a 5,000 mAh battery with support for 45W fast charging. This set should guarantee a whole day away from the socket, and the manufacturer says that it reaches 75% in just 30 minutes of charge.

Software
The Infinix Note 30 5G has Android 13 as its operating system and it runs under the brand’s proprietary interface.
In general terms, the software has its own identity and brings some extra features that may please those who like a little customization.
The company also makes some features available for gamers, but that’s something we’ll be exploring in our full review.
Cmeras
Starting with the main camera, we have a 108 MP sensor. Of course, this is well highlighted at the rear and the brand promises great results in different scenarios.
Another feature that Infinix was keen to talk regarding is the Super Night mode, which is an improved version so that you can achieve the best images in low light scenarios.
The secondary lens is 2 MP and is focused on depth effect, while the third lens is dedicated to Artificial Intelligence.
That is, it is there to identify scenarios and work on improving the results obtained with the main camera.
Finally, for selfies, we have a 16 MP front lens that promises good images. Sample photos, videos and more details regarding these cameras we will have in our full review.
First impressions and price
The Infinix Note 30 5G was announced in the domestic market for R$ 1,999 in the version with 8 GB of RAM and 256 GB of internal storage.
It will be sold in a single variant, but you can choose between black and blue colors, and the Sunset Gold option, which looks more like an orange, is still being studied for availability in Brazil.
In general terms, the Infinix Note 30 5G is indeed a good smartphone and it reaches the national market to become a viable option when compared to direct competitors from Samsung and Motorola.
The Infinix Note 30 5G has a good design, the chipset promises to deliver a decent experience and, as it starts with 256GB and 8GB of RAM, this will certainly be a good choice for anyone who likes to store a lot of files.
Perhaps its biggest problem is the software, since it will require a certain learning curve from the user. Not to mention that it doesn’t have that policy that Samsung delivers on the Galaxy A54, for example.
Even so, when we take into account that the Note 30 5G has to face some imported cell phones that do not have the national guarantee it offers, this ends up becoming a more than positive point for the Infinix device.
Now, it remains to be seen whether the Brazilian consumer will want to give Infinix a chance. In other words, stop importing appliances from certain brands to bet on a national one that has good specifications and a local guarantee. But, this is something that only time will tell.
