The US pharmaceutical company Perrigo Company recently announced the recall of a batch of powdered baby food due to dangerous levels of vitamin D.
The product is the cans labeled as: HEB Baby Infant Premium Infant Formula Milk-Based Powder with Iron y CVS Health Infant Premium Infant formula with Iron Milk-Based Powder.
The company said the stores where they were sold were HEB and CVS Health. The formula was allegedly sold in multiple retail chains in at least 12 U.S. states.

Perrigo Company said the cans have an expiration date between November 9 and 11, 2025. and has UPC codes 050428318034 and 041220164578.
The manufacturing company stated that: “For the vast majority of infants, short-term consumption of the affected lot codes is unlikely to have adverse health consequences.”

- Check if they have the product: If you have Perrigo brand infant formula, Infant Premium model with iron based on powdered milk, at home, check the lot number and expiration date to find out if it is included in the recall.
- Do not use the product: If you have any of the affected cans, do not use them under any circumstances and return them to the place of purchase for a refund. You may also call Perrigo at 1-800-538-9543, Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Eastern Standard Time.
- Consult the pediatrician: If your baby has consumed any of these formulas, consult your pediatrician for advice on what steps to take.
