The singer Ineta Rudzīte, who until now is better known as a performer of pop songs and French chansons, pleases her listeners with a new song in the country style “It’s the way it should be”. Her new work comes out today, November 25.
This is already the second song by Ineta Rudzīte, in which the heartfelt melodiousness characteristic of the country genre resonates and an emotional story is told that unites people so much; it also resonates with Ineta’s previous work – songs dominated by the themes of love and relationships.
The country genre is becoming more and more popular in Latvia, because they are songs performed with warm passion and lasting joy of life. This is confirmed by the author of the song, Māris Sloka, leader of the group “Klaidonis”. The two artists have already successfully collaborated during the creation of the song “Touch of Happiness”. The author of the text is DJ Darkwho gave the song an emotional and poetic depth. As always, the arrangement of the songs was created by Ineta’s long-time stage partner – guitarist Eriks Upenieks.
A video version has also been made for the song “It should be like that”, which will soon be available on the Latvian television program “Latvijas sirdsdziesma”, while it is currently available on all social networks. The video clip was filmed in one of the most beautiful places in Latvia – the Abgunste manor, and as Ineta says, she is extremely grateful to the owners of the manor, Asnate and Jānis, for this opportunity. It should be noted that the great instructor of the dance school “DanceForBalance”, dancer Ilgmārs Stopiņš, also participated in the creation of the video of the song.
The creators and performers of the song hope that the song will appeal to everyone who is looking for inner peace and inspiration in the hectic everyday life.

Ineta Rudzīte Takes a Stroll Down Country Lane with New Single: "It’s the Way It Should Be"
Well, hold the front page! Latvia’s answer to the pop world, Ineta Rudzīte, has boldly traded her sequins for some cowboy boots in her new single, “It’s the Way It Should Be.” It’s a country track, folks! Yes, the winds of change are blowing through the Latvian music scene, and they smell suspiciously like hay and barrel-aged whiskey. Who knew the pop darling had a hidden penchant for yodeling?
The song debuts today, November 25, and if her previous romantic ballads were raindrops, this one is a hearty thunderstorm of heartfelt melodiousness. Yes, I said "thunderstorm." It sounds like she’s finally decided to let her inner cowboy out of the barn! It’s her second dalliance with the country genre, and let’s be honest, it’s about time! After the plethora of love songs, we can only hope she won’t bring her love life to the barn dance—because let’s face it, a broken heart and cow dung do mix worse than you’d expect.
According to Māris Sloka, the mind behind the song—who I can only assume has an extensive knowledge of both guitars and cattle—country music is gaining traction in Latvia. That’s right, people! Take a good look around; there are probably more cowboy hats in Latvia now than ever before. And who could forget our enigmatic DJ Dark? The man behind the lyrics that lend emotional depth like your grandmother’s best quilt does on a chilly night.
Now let’s talk about the arrangement! Ineta’s trusty sidekick, the illustrious Eriks Upenieks, is back in the saddle—er, I mean, on the guitar. It’s like the dynamic duo has reunited to save the day, one twang at a time. It’s just too bad we’ve still got no word on whether Eriks is also secretly a lasso expert—I’m just saying, the world needs to see that.
And before you hop on your horses to gallop away with excitement, there’s a video component to this release, too! Filmed at the majestic Abgunste manor, it promises more scenic shots than a postcard from your great aunt. As Ineta graciously thanks the owners, Asnate and Jānis, for letting her stab—uh, I mean, film—on their picturesque property, one can only dream of the kind of hidden treasure chests that place must hold.
Now, here’s where it gets fabulously intriguing. Ilgmārs Stopiņš of "DanceForBalance" fame was also involved. I’m not suggesting dance schools will replace yoga studios, but let’s just say a little “do-si-do” might do us good. Picture it: viewers tuning in, only to be mesmerized by some combination of two-stepping and a lovely dose of existentialism. "It should be like that," indeed!
Interestingly, the creators hope this song provides inner peace in our busy lives. In a world filled with deadlines, social media pings, and those excruciatingly long queues at the coffee shop, perhaps a little country serenade is just what we all need. So grab your favorite chair, maybe a cold drink, and prepare to belt out "It’s the Way It Should Be,” while sorting out your existential dread one twang at a time.
So, hats off to Ineta Rudzīte—Latvia’s shimmering pop star gone country! May your new single reach the hearts of all who dare to listen, and let’s hope it’ll have the unexpected magic of a tumbleweed rolling into a sunset. Now where’s my cowboy hat?
