IndyCar, Milwaukee Mile returns to the forefront for a decisive weekend – OA Sport

Don’t miss this weekend’s return of the Milwaukee Mile to the NTT IndyCar Series. Two challenges are scheduled to conclude a summer full of brawls, a decisive stage in view of the grand final in Nashville in September.

From 2016 to 2023, there was no race at the US short-track located in the state of Michigan. The West Allis bowl has a total length of 1,015 miles (1,633 km) with four 9.25° turns.

The Australian Will Power (2014) and the New Zealander Scott Dixon (2010) are the only ones still on the track who have already won at the Milwaukee Mile in the past. The last to excel in IndyCar was Frenchman Sébastien Bourdais, currently competing full-time in the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship with Cadillac Racing.

Power is 54 points behind Spaniard Alex Palou in the standings (Ganassi #10) after last week’s success in Portland, OregonThe 43-year-old Australian is competing with the Iberian for the final victory, it is unlikely that we will have any ‘returns’ between now and the hypothetical championship decider which after years will be held again on an oval in Nashville. Ganassi could in any case close the games this weekendtwo stages to avoid a final act that looks very unpredictable.
