MINISTER of Forestry (Menhut) Raja Juli Antoni was appointed as Alternate Head of Delegation (Deputy Chair/Alternate Chair of the Indonesian Delegation) accompanying Hashim S Djojohadikusumo who had previously been appointed as Head of Delegation (Chair of the Indonesian Delegation) at COP29 by President Prabowo Subianto.
The COP29 conference will take place at the Baku Olympic Stadium, Azerbaijan, on 11-22 November 2024. COP29 will decide on the world policy map regarding climate change mitigation action, including Indonesia’s role.
“This forum is very important as the annual forum for the 29th United Nations Climate Change Conference/Conference of the Parties (COP),” said Raja Juli in his statement, Saturday (9/11).

Apart from that, he will ensure that the Indonesian delegation will work seriously to fight for a global agreement. This, said Raja Juli, aims to create a greener world.
“The Indonesian delegation will work seriously to fight for global agreements to create a greener world in the context of Indonesia’s national interests of course,” said Raja Juli.
For information, Raja July together with representatives from the Ministry of Forestry departed for Baku, Azerbaijan, from Soekarno Hatta International Airport, Friday (8/11). Meanwhile, Hashim Djojohadikusumo as Head of Delegation in Indonesia will arrive in Baku on Monday (11/11). (Fal/M-3)
