Indonesian Masters Expected to Make Golf More Popular

The BNI Indonesian Masters golf tournament will be officially held from 31 October to 3 November 2024 at the Royale Jakarta Golf Club, Jakarta.

The tournament has now entered its 12th edition. As its popularity continues to rise, the Indonesian Masters, which since 2022 has become part of the International Series, has become the largest and most prestigious professional golf competition in Indonesia.

In a press conference on Wednesday (16/10), Indonesian professional golfer, George Gandranata, who has been active since 2003, said that the tournament had certainly influenced the popularity of golf in the country.

“The BNI Indonesian Masters Tournament encourages the potential of other Indonesian golfers to continue practicing and working,” said George.

Likewise, another Indonesian golfer, Peter Gunawan, hopes that the Indonesian Masters will be able to build euphoria for the sport of golf.

The Indonesian Masters made its debut in 2011. Since it was first held, the Indonesian Masters has been able to present world stars, such as Lee Westwood, Thongchai Jaidee, Ian Woosnam, Michael Campbell, Ernie Els, Darren Clarke, Thomas Bjorn, Kiradech Aphibarnrat, Brandt Snedeker, Henrik Stenson, Justin Rose, and Patrick Reed.
