The Indonesian badminton team had the opportunity to hold its first training at the 2024 Paris Olympics venue, Porte De La Chapelle Arena, Monday (22/7) afternoon French time. Head of Binpres PP PBSI Ricky Soebagja said that all athletes were in prime condition after undergoing a week of training camp.
“Thank God, the children are in good condition until today,” said Ricky.
Ricky said after training at the Olympic arena they returned to Chambly. The team will enter the athlete village a day earlier.
“Tomorrow afternoon, July 23, we will enter the athlete’s village. One day earlier than the initial schedule based on the results of discussions with the team, including looking at the training schedule provided by the committee in Paris,” explained Ricky.
On July 24, the Indonesian badminton team will have full training in Paris, both in the athletes’ village and at the venue. However, the team will return to Chambly on July 25 for training that requires sparring.
“This sparring is not accredited to enter the venue so we are holding another training in Chambly. Then back to the athlete village on July 26 to prepare to play the first match of the Olympics,” said Ricky. (Z-8)
