Indonesia: Tsunami warning ruled out after 7.6 magnitude earthquake hits Tanimbar Islands

An earthquake rocked Indonesia on Tuesday night.

An earthquake with a magnitude of 7.6 hit the Indonesian island region of Tanimbar overnight Monday to Tuesday at 2:47 a.m. local time.

The tsunami risk was assessed following this earthquake which occurred at a depth of 97 kilometers below the surface of the Earth. He was finally dismissed just minutes following the earthquake was recorded.
