TWO Indonesian representatives lost to Japan and resulted in the score being 1-2 in the 2024 Uber Cup Group C match.
The first defeat was felt by the pair, Lanny Tria Mayasari/Siti Fadia Silva Ramadhanti who could not handle the Japanese women’s doubles, Nami Matsuyama/Chiharu Shida.
Lanny/Siti lost after playing three games against Nami/Chiharu with a score of 9-21, 22-20 and 16-21. The score of Indonesia vs Japan was 1-1.
Next, it was the women’s singles turn for Ester Nurumi Tri Wardoyo who also lost. She faced Japanese women’s singles, Aya Ohori with a final score of 21-14, 20-22, 18-21. Due to this defeat, Indonesia is currently 1-2 behind Japan.
