The objective of the program is to strengthen human talent in the area of public health and improve the conditions of well-being and quality of life in the indigenous populations of Antioquia.

During the course, the Government of Antioquia covered the costs of transportation, food and lodging for the students to facilitate their travel from their communities to the training centers.

Training these indigenous leaders in public health not only strengthens access to medical services in their communities, but also promotes greater integration and collaboration in the development of health strategies appropriate to their cultural contexts and specific needs.

With this initiative, the Government and SENA seek to empower indigenous leaders so that they can effectively contribute to the well-being of their communities.
