“India’s Women’s Coach Hopes for History in AFC Asian Cup: Round-16 Qualification”

Doha – India’s women’s coach Maymol Rokhi hopes that India will make a new history by entering the round-16 of the AFC Asian Cup. While participating as a draw assistant at the official Asian Cup draw held at Katara Opera House, Maymol shared the hope that India’s Blue Tigers will make a new history by qualifying for the Round-16.

This is the first time that India is competing in consecutive editions of the AFC Asian Cup. It’s a great opportunity to be back on the Asian Cup stage. Maymol stated that India is well prepared to make history in the Asian Cup.

In addition to Maymol Rocky, Uzbekistan’s Sarwar Jeparo, who won the AFC Asian Footballer of the Year award twice, South Korea’s legendary player Park Ji-sung, the legendary player in Asian football history, Australian legend Tim Cahill, Japan’s Yoshimi Yamashita, one of the first female referees of FIFA Men’s World Cup, former Chinese captain and USA (1999) The draw assistants were Sun Wen, the Golden Boot winner of the FIFA Women’s World Cup.

AFC General Secretary Datuk Seri Windsor John officiated the draw which was led by Qatar’s Al Annabi captain Hassan Al Haydos. Famous sportscaster John Dix introduced the raffle participants and guests to the audience.

AFC President Sheikh Salman bin Ibrahim Al Khalifa, FIFA President Gianni Infantino, AFC officials, Qatar Football Association officials, head coaches of the 24 teams, Indian Football Federation President Kalyan Chaubey and coach Igorstimak were also present.
