Kozhikode: Defending champions Gokulam Kerala FC will take on last year’s runners-up Kickstart FC in an Indian Women’s League clash on January 12 at 3.30 pm at the EMS Corporation Stadium.
Gokulam Kerala FC, currently in third place with seven points from five matches, had drawn and lost in the first stages of the league. However, the recent signing of Ugandan striker Fasila Ekwaput has breathed new life into their attack.
In last week’s match in Kozhikode once morest Sports Odisha, Gokulam Kerala FC showed their scoring prowess by scoring seven goals, with Fazilha contributing well with two goals and three assists.
On the other hand, Kickstart FC comes in with a better record having won all three of their matches. Indian striker Karisma Purushothan has been a standout for them, with Karisma scoring six times.
