The Indian Premier League 2024 season will begin on March 22. In the match to be held in Chennai, the defending champions Chennai Super Kings will face Royal Challengers Bangalore. BCCI has announced the schedule of 21 matches from March 22 to April 7 in view of the Lok Sabha elections. The rest of the contest dates will be announced taking into account the date of the Lok Sabha elections.
The opening match is at 8 pm. Other matches will follow the schedule of 3.30 pm and 7.30 pm. In the first match on March 23, Punjab Kings will face Delhi Capitals. Kolkata Knight Riders will play their first match against Sunrisers Hyderabad at Kolkata Eden Gardens tonight. Rajasthan Royals and Lucknow Super Giants will meet in the first match on March 24. The first match of Gujarat Titans is against Mumbai Indians. Delhi as per the released competition schedule. Gujarat and RCB will play five matches each in 17 days.
