‘We can destroy Israel’s financial sector’; Muslim shopkeepers in India
New Delhi: Muslim shopkeepers in India have boycotted Israeli products. Israel has banned US products as part of its support for the Palestinian people.
“Our income may decrease at times. We cannot fight with them. But it is possible to destroy Israel’s economic sector. Now people started using alternative brands.
The demand for the brands that were in demand earlier has also decreased now following the boycott. Of course, this will have results,” Mohammad Nadeem, a trader, told Al Jazeera.
His store does not have any products like Pepsi or Coca-Cola. The ban on Israeli products has sparked a new wave of protests among local Muslim communities. Local families are also fully supporting the shopkeepers’ ban on the produce.
‘When I found out regarding this, I stopped buying their products completely. Many of the leading brands that children love come from Israel. But this money will help the Israeli government.

“We have no other means to oppose Israeli atrocities. So this is just our little help for Gaza. By banning American-Israeli products like this, it is only a small contribution to help its people,’ Nikhat Rehman said.
But reports suggest that the Modi government in India is not cooperating with the pro-Palestinian protests, but rather with pro-Israel actions.
