Birmingham – England Cricket Board (ECB) trolled former Indian captain Virat Kohli by using only 2 pictures and a single emoji following the historic victory in the Edgbaston Test. The war of words raged on Twitter as the Indian fans also hit back, alleging that the England Cricket Board’s action was indecent. After winning the 5th Test, England leveled the series (2-2).

The troll once morest Kohli came from the official Twitter handle of the England Cricket Board. The ECB took to Twitter with a picture of Kohli asking Jonny Bairstow to duck when India had a clear upper hand on Day 3 of the Test and Kohli hugging Bairstow in desperation following England’s win in the first session on Day 5, along with an emoji meaning ‘none of us said’!

But a message from the official Twitter handle of the Cricket Board mocking a player personally has angered the Indian fans. Majority of the Indian fans are expressing their deep dissatisfaction with the tweet.

There are many who have commented that India will definitely pay interest in the limited over series in response to Kohli’s teasing. India now have the remaining Twenty20 and ODI series once morest England consisting of 3 matches each.

Virat Kohli and Bairstow got into a war of words twice during the match. In the last session of the 2nd day and in the first session of the 3rd day. India had a clear upper hand in both these phases.

But following Kohli’s provocation, Bairstow scored a century in the first innings and brought England out of the slump. Bairstow, who scored a century in the 2nd innings, was also selected as the man of the match.
