Bollywood actor Govinda accidentally shot himself in the leg with his revolver, after which he was shifted to the hospital.

According to Indian media, Bollywood actor and Shiv Sena leader Govinda was taken to the hospital early today after being accidentally shot in the leg with his own licensed revolver.

The incident took place around 4:30 in the morning when they were storing their weapons before going out. According to hospital sources, Govinda was admitted to the hospital at 5:30 am and now his condition is said to be out of danger.

According to Indian reports, initial reports indicated that the bullet hit him in the knee, after which he was immediately treated at a hospital in Mumbai.

So far, Govinda’s family and team have not released any official statement about his condition.

Govinda’s manager Shashi Sinha told Indian media, ‘Actor and Shiv Sena leader Govinda was preparing to go to Kolkata. He was holding his licensed revolver when suddenly it fell from his hand and a bullet was fired which hit him in the leg. The doctor has removed the pill and his condition is fine. He is currently in the hospital.

Actor Govinda, who was injured due to gunshot, sent a message of well-being to his loved ones through a video message from the hospital.

According to Indian media reports, Govinda thanked his fans for their good wishes and prayers through a message and informed them about his condition.

The 60-year-old actor and political leader credited the prayers of his parents, fans and his guru for saving his life.

He added that he had a cyst in his leg which has now been removed through an operation

According to Indian reports, the police have reached the spot to assess the situation and have taken Govinda’s revolver into custody. The matter is currently under investigation.

It may be noted that Govinda has taken a break from films since 2019. But there was a time when the audience eagerly waited for his new release. In the 80s and 90s, he was one of the leading stars of Bollywood. However, his career began to decline with time and his last successful film was Partner, which was released in 2007.

Govinda is known for blockbuster comedies such as Qli No 1, Haseena Maan Jaye Gi, Sajan Chale Sisal, Raja Babu, Raja Ji, Partner and others. Govinda recently starred in the 2019 film ‘Rangila Raja’, directed by Pahlaj Nihalani. Unfortunately, the film failed at the box office, after which Govinda has taken a break from acting.
