New Delhi: It has been decided to name the opposition alliance ‘INDIA’ (Indian National Developmental Inclusive Alliance) to face the NDA alliance in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections. The decision in this regard was taken at a joint meeting of opposition parties held in Bengaluru. It is reported that most of the leaders of the opposition parties who participated in the conference favored the name.

The leader of the NCP Sharad Pawar faction said that it was decided to contest in the name of INDIA in the 2024 Lok Sabha elections in the united conference of the opposition parties. Jitendra Avhad tweeted. Jitendra Awad said that the proposal to name the alliance as INDIA was proposed by Rahul Gandhi in the meeting and his creativity was highly appreciated and all other parties accepted it.

Shiv Sena (UBT) Rajya Sabha MP Priyanka Chaturvedi tweeted that the competition will be between Team India and Team NDA in 2024. After the meeting, Trinamool Congress MP Derrick O’Brien also tweeted, “Chakde India”. Congress Lok Sabha MP Manikum Tagore tweeted that India will win.

“We have chosen the name India because this is a fight for India’s voice,” Rahul said in the meeting. This fight is between India and NDA, between Narendra Modi and India, between BJP’s ideology and India. We will protect the constitution of the country, the voice of the people and the idea of ​​this great country. We all know who will win when someone takes up the idea of ​​India,” Rahul said.

The front currently led by the Congress is called UPA (United Progressive Alliance). The name India was found by excluding the UPA because the parties that are not part of it are also in the broad coalition. It is reported that Congress leader Sonia Gandhi may lead the India alliance. Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar will also act as convener. Two sub-committees will also be formed. The second meeting of the opposition parties was held in Bengaluru today in continuation of the coalition that joined in Patna on the 23rd of last month. 15 parties participated in Patna. But 49 leaders from 26 opposition parties came to the meeting in Bengaluru. NCP Leader Sharad Pawar, Congress President Mallikarjuna Kharge, Sonia Gandhi, Rahul Gandhi, Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee, Tamil Nadu Chief Minister MK Stalin, Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemand Soren, CPM Leader Sitaram Yechury, RJD Leader Lalu Prasad Yadav, CPI leader D.
