United Nations: India is once more in favor of Ukraine in the United Nations. India also responded favorably by voting on a draft document to allow Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky to address the General Assembly high-level meeting.
The decision was approved by 101 votes in the 193-member General Assembly. Seven countries objected. 19 countries abstained, including Belarus, Cuba, Eritrea, Russia and Syria. Zelenskiy was allowed to address world leaders via recorded video speech during the public debate. Accordingly, Zelensky’s speech will be broadcast in the General Assembly Hall. The member states approved the decision with the condition that this should not be done in the future.
