India defeated Pakistan in the Davis Cup Group One play-off

India performed well in both doubles and singles on the grass courts in Islamabad to beat Pakistan 4-0 in the World Group One play-off.

After winning both singles matches against Pakistan in the Davis Cup, India never looked back and leveled their overall Davis Cup record against Pakistan at eight-nil.

The Indian pair of Skit Menini and Yuki Bhambri defeated the Pakistani pair of Aqeel Khan and Muzamil Murtaza by six, two and seven, six.

Pakistan’s well-known player Easam-ul-Haq Qureshi could not go to the court due to a hamstring injury, which affected Pakistan’s chances of winning in the doubles.
