After the ICCT 20 World Cup ended with India’s victory, the team consisting of the players who performed well in the tournament has been announced.
12 players from four countries have been included in the ICC team, in which the majority are Indian players. After India, most players from Afghanistan have been given place in this team.
Among these 12 players, six from India, three from Afghanistan and one each from South Africa, West Indies, Australia have been included.
The ICCT20 team was selected by ICC General Manager of Cricket Wasim Khan along with Harsha Bhogle, N Bishop and Kis Naidu.
No players from teams like Pakistan, England, Sri Lanka and New Zealand have been included in this team and the reason for this is clearly evident from the performance of these teams in the tournament.
Pakistan, New Zealand, Sri Lanka and Bangladesh were eliminated from the tournament in the group stage of the World Cup while England lost to India in the semi-finals.
The Indian players who have been named in the ICCT 20 squad include captain Rohit Sharma, Surya Kumar Yadav, Hardik Pandya, Akshar Patel, Jasprit Bumrah and Arsdeep Singh.

Rahmanullah Garbaz has been included in the team as an opener and wicketkeeper from the Afghan team that performed well in the group stage and then reached the semi-finals by defeating Australia.
Rahmanullah Garbaz has also been the highest run-scorer in the T20 World Cup. He scored a total of 281 runs in the tournament. He was followed by Rohit Sharma who scored 257 runs.
The other player selected from Afghanistan is Fazal Haq Farooqui who is also the highest wicket taker in this World Cup with 17 wickets.
After him, the third Afghan cricketer is Rashid Khan, who not only brought his team to the semi-finals with his excellent captaincy, but also took 14 wickets in the event itself.
The only South African player to make the ICCT20 squad is Enrique Nurquay who has been named as the 12th man in the squad.
