Sunday’s match between Atalanta and Fiorentina was postponed following Joe Barone, the director of the Florentine club, was hospitalized a few hours before kick-off, reports AP News.
According to Italian media reports, several players were present when Barone became ill in his hotel room. The sports manager was taken by helicopter to a hospital in Milan.

The Italian league confirmed that the postponement of Sunday’s match was requested by Fiorentina. The match of the Italian football championship (Serie A) was later postponed, but it is not yet known at what exact time the missed match will be played.
